For me, that purpose is crystal clear: Creating Global Indians.
Slogans and posters are easy. But embedding a purpose into the daily culture of a company is one of the hardest things a CEO can do.
Then came The Global Indian. My book has become more than just pages and print — it serves as a reminder of our purpose. Now, I go from one office to another, one employee at a time, sharing stories, challenging perspectives, and asking a simple but powerful question: “Who is a Global Indian?”
Because when our people understand that, everything changes. We don’t just chase sales targets — we balance profit with purpose. We become a force for good, shaping lives and careers, and helping millions of Indians take their place in the world.
Here’s why this matters now more than ever. Across the world — especially after the COVID-19 pandemic — employees suffer from professional ennui: a restless boredom, weariness, and lack of motivation in their jobs. The cure? Purpose.
Purpose gets you out of bed. Purpose gives you the energy to navigate traffic, the patience to do the hard work, and the courage to endure the grind. Purpose turns a job into a mission.
That’s what The Global Indian is doing for us at Y-Axis — reminding us that our work helps people write their own global stories.
What about you? How do you connect your daily work to a bigger mission?
